Being an INTROVERT!!
Being an Introvert is not one’s choice, it’s a basic nature of a human. At times it gets a little hard to grow up with extroverts because sometimes introverts get misunderstood as arrogant, selfish, shy, and rude (worst one!!).
So, I am an introvert and I can’t really change it. Being one is a feeling of a mixture of lots of emotions.
· You find simple things hard to do like even saying hello to someone, your instincts say that you should but your nature stops you.
· Functions/Festivals: hate it!! Will have to meet people, talk to them (awkward silence). It’s hard to be present among the crowd and sit their silently just replying yes or no or even just slightly responding by moving head.
· New Year celebration? Yeah, I’d rather watch shitty TV award shows with family and have fun. (I love it rather than those noisy parties!!)
· Phone Calls: Because we don’t know what to talk or what to even
reply with and there comes only awkward silence then, so prefer texting.
· And No! I didn’t have any heartbreaks, I am just silent and reserved because I love it this way.
· The biggest misconception “Introverts remain alone and don’t talk to people or interact with them” We just have a small circle of friends with whom we can be comfortable with speaking and doing absolutely anything and everything. With whom we can talk, laugh, and discuss like an idiot without thinking much.
· Observation: Introverts observe a lot, everything. We notice things that no one notices and hence having a better understanding of the environment. I am a good listener but when I meet new people, I take time to blend in, usually a lot of time!! I just try to know them to understand them.
· Trustworthy: Secrets are safe always.
· We prefer silent places over loud clubs/bars (even hate the thought of it!! So noisy!).
· We are not romantically disabled or maybe because we just don’t know how to express our feelings because we think all the things in our head only.
· I can spend hours not saying anything to anyone but once something of interest comes up, I get very excited and can talk for hours about it (until you ask me to stop).
· Self-awareness: We are more aware of what we are, what we want, and where we are going. And that makes a person calm and peaceful at heart.
· I may have sounded arrogant and rude to many but I am just not that. My Close Friends now are the ones, whom I didn’t even reply at first!!
To sum up, being introvert is a great thing, being an extrovert is also a great thing. The greatness lies within the fact that we hopefully live in a world where people can just be themselves.
Nicely concluded man!
